Temecula Valley Republican Women Federated Endorses Waldron for Assembly

(Escondido, CA) – Last week, the Temecula Valley Republican Women Federated (TVRWF) endorsed Marie Waldron for Assembly.  Waldron is running in the newly created 75th Assembly District, which includes the cities of Escondido and San Marcos; along with Valley Center, Fallbrook and other unincorporated portions of north San Diego County.  A quarter of the district’s residents reside in Temecula and unincorporated portions of southwest Riverside County.

TVRWF is the largest Republican Women Federated club in the 75th district and with over 150 members, they are a significant boost to Waldron’s grassroots campaign team.

“We are proud to support Marie for State Assembly,” said Valarie Skovron, TVRWF’s president. Her breadth of experience as a small business owner, mother, and local elected official will bring a prospective desperately needed in Sacramento.  Marie’s experience gives her first hand knowledgehow legislation impacts businesses, families, our local governments and economy – we know she’ll do an amazing job fighting for us in the state legislature.”

The support of one of the district’s strongest grassroots organization is the latest in important backers of Waldron’s campaign for Assembly.  Two weeks ago, Waldron announced the endorsement of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association PAC.  She has also previously announced the backing of pro-business groups like the North San Diego County Association of Realtors and the Lincoln Club of San Diego County.

Waldron has received the support of prominent current 75th district legislators: Senator Joel Anderson, Senator Mark Wyland, Assemblyman Martin Garrick and Assemblyman Kevin Jeffries; and the majority of the district’s mayors.  Former State Senator Dennis Hollingsworth also supports Marie’s campaign.

Waldron is a small business owner and has served on the Escondido City Council since 1998.  She has been a staunch advocate for fiscal restraint and accountability while on the Escondido City Council and has opposed all water rate and tax increases.
