Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association PAC Endorses Waldron
HJTA cites Waldron’s “Proven track record of fighting against taxes and for fiscal reform”
(Escondido, CA) – Marie Waldron announced that the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association Political Action Committee (HJTA-PAC) has endorsed her candidacy for State Assembly. Waldron is running in the newly created 75th Assembly District, which includes the cities of Escondido and San Marcos; along with Valley Center, Fallbrook and other unincorporated portions of north San Diego County. A quarter of the district’s residents reside in Temecula and unincorporated portions of southwest Riverside County.
“Marie Waldron has a proven track record of fighting against taxes and for fiscal reform,” said Jon Coupal, President of HJTA. “Marie’s staunch support of decreasing the burden that our state government places on California families is why taxpayers need Marie in Sacramento.”
The endorsement of the California’s premier taxpayer association is the latest in a long string of support for Waldron’s Assembly bid. Waldron has received the backing of pro-business groups like the North San Diego County Association of Realtors and the Lincoln Club of San Diego County. She has also received the support of prominent current 75th district legislators: Senator Joel Anderson, Senator Mark Wyland, Assemblyman Martin Garrick and Assemblyman Kevin Jeffries; and the majority of the district’s mayors. Former State Senator Dennis Hollingsworth also supports Marie’s campaign.
Waldron is a small business owner and has served on the Escondido City Council since 1998. She has been a staunch advocate for fiscal restraint and accountability while on the Escondido City Council and has opposed all water rate and tax increases.
